Gulpha Gorge Campground is the only campground in Hot Springs National Park. The property was bought by the National Park Service in the 1930s, and now contains 43 campsites as well as a picnic area.
It was owned before 1930 by the city of Hot Springs, where there was a dam on Gulpha Creek and “swimming pool”. Gulpha Gorge is the name of a deep canyon between Hot Springs Mountain and Indian Mountain.
All sites are open year round and available on a first come, first serve basis. There are no advance reservations. The cost is $30 per night for a campsite. If you have the senior or access pass (formerly the Golden Age or Golden Access Pass), the cost is $15 per night.
All sites can accommodate RVs or Tents and have full hookups of 40 and 50 amp electric, plus water and sewer connections. There are no pull through sites. Campsites have a picnic table and pedestal grill.
The campgrounds has modern restrooms, a dump station and several stations for water throughout most of the year. There are no showers.
The campground is located on the east side of Hot Springs off US Hwy 70B, half a mile from the junction of 70 and 70B. For directions on your GPS, use the address 305 Gorge Road, Hot Springs AR 71901.
